How to Cook Pupusas



I LOVE pupusas and decided to show you how I make them. I am an amateur at best, but I think this is a good place to start. I also want to mention that the salsa I used is not a Salvadoran style salsa, but something I make frequently in my home.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lbs boneless pork meat
1 Roma Tomato
1/2 Bell Pepper
1/4 Onion
2 to 3 cloves garlic
salt to taste
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 cups Maseca (you can purchase Maseca at the link below)

3 1/2 to 4 cups warm water
2 1/2 tsp kosher salt (if using table salt use less)
Vegetable Oil for browning meat and to mix with water
